  • [+] High-tea Special Package [Min: 35 pax | Max: 80 Pax]

    • Experience Hi-Tea by the riverside or at MCV village lawn settings. Hi-Tea Special Package is inclusive of the tour and cultural show and thereafter savour the various traditional cakes and delicacies of the Kadazan community. The package is inclusive of local coffee and tea.
    • Proposed Itinerary

      15:00 Arrival of Guest
      After registration guests are then led to the Dungou Hut where they will be given a short introduction about Monsopiad Cultural Village and served welcome drink. Thereafter a guided tour of the Monsopiad Cultural Village places of interest.

      1600 Cultural Show begins
      After each cultural dance performance guests will be invited to take part and experience the cultural dances and also get a chance to try shooting with one of the traditional hunting weapon - the blowpipe.

      1640 Cultural Show ends
      Guest will have the opportunity to take photograph with the dancers and musician. After the photography session with the dancers and musicians, guests will proceed to the Riverside Cafe or Dungou Hut for their Hi-Tea. Hi-Tea special package should be pre-booked at least two ( 2 ) weeks in advance. The Hi-Tea can be organized on any day of the week. The minimum number of participant is 10 persons and maximum 80 persons.

  • [+] Lunch & Cultural Show [Min: 35 pax | Max: 80 Pax]

    • Guests can also enjoy their afternoon at Monsopiad Cultural Village with lunch and cultural show creating a uniquely interactive cross-cultural experience. Guest will be invited on a short guided tour of Monsopiad Cultural Village and discover the rich cultural and natural heritage of Sabah. After the guided tour guest will proceed to the main hall for a buffet lunch. The lunch will consist of local specialties. Cultural show will begin while/during lunch. Guest will have the opportunity to participate in the traditional dances of the Kadazan, Murut and many other dances from the indigenous tribes of Sabah after each show.

      Guests are then led to the Riverside Cafe where they will be given a short introduction about MCV and be served their welcome drink.

      After the welcome drink and introduction to Monsopiad Cultural village mission and objective. Guest will proceed to the main hall for a buffet style lunch. The food will consist of a mixture of local specialties inclusive of mineral water, coffee and tea. All carbonated drinks, liquor, beers and local rice wine will be at guest expense.

      1220 Cultural Show begins
      Guests will be invited to take part in the cultural dances after each show and also get a chance to try shooting with one of the traditional hunting weapon - the blowpipe.

      1320 Cultural Show ends
      Guest will have the opportunity to take photograph with the dancers and musician. After photography session with the dancers and musicians, guests will then either be split into groups if necessary and be brought on a guided tour in the village by Monsopiad Cultural Village in-house guide.

      Lunch and cultural shows should be pre-booked at least two ( 2 ) weeks in advance. The minimum number of participants is 10 persons and maximum 80 person. The lunch can be organized on any day of the week.

  • [+] Theme Dinner & Cultural Show [Min: 20 pax | Max: 80 Pax]

    • The theme dinner & cultural show offers guest a uniquely interactive cross-cultural experience. They will be invited to a short guided tour visit in Monsopiad Cultural Village to discover the rich cultural and natural heritage of Sabah. Guests will then proceed to the main-hall for a local specialties buffet style dinner.

      The cultural dance performance will begin with an interactive cultural show that will allow them to participate in the traditional dances of the Kadazan, Murut and many other dances from the indigenous tribes of Sabah. Together with the experience of blow pipe shooting, this will be an unforgettable evening for all guests.

    • Proposed Itinerary

      1800 Arrival of guests and traditional welcome at the entrance of MCV with "Togunggak Music" ( Bamboo Gongs ) and colorful costume.

      1815 Guests are then led into the compound of the Monsopiad Cultural Village where they will be given a short introduction and be served welcome drink.

      1820 Guests will then either be split into groups if necessary and be brought for a guided tour throughout the village.

      1900 After the guided tour, guests will proceed to the main hall for dinner. The dinner will be served buffet style and the menu will consist of a mixture of local specialties inclusive of mineral water, coffee and tea. All carbonated drinks and rice wine will be at guest expense.

      1930 The Cultural Dance Performance begins!

      2000 Guests will be invited to take part in the cultural dances after each dance performed, and later try one of the traditional hunting weapons the blow pipe.

      2200 THEME NIGHT ENDS.

      Theme dinner and cultural shows should be pre-booked at least two ( 2 ) week in advance. The evening can be organized on any day of the week.

      Please note that should you wish to have dinner, cultural performance and any special arrangement we will be happy to discuss with you. Likewise should you plan to bring your own caterer and other special arrangement please contact our F&B and Event Manager. However, the Monsopiad Cultural Village, being a historical site, we would like you to refer to our Terms & Conditions.

  • [+] Wedding Package (Evening Only) [Min: 50 pax | Max: 80 Pax]

    • Celebrate a traditional Kadazan wedding in an authentic setting at the Monsopiad Cultural Village historical sites close to Kota Kinabalu. The Kadazan wedding ceremony is simple, timeless rite performed up to date by the last remaining bobohizans (Kadazan ritual specialists) to sanctify the union of man and woman.

      The wedding package offered by Monsopiad Cultural Village is inclusive of all traditional setting and arrangement.

    • Proposed Itinerary

      There will be a traditional welcoming at the entrance of Monsopiad Cultural Village and a Kadazan Sumazau performance by MCV troupe performed at the garden along with the serving of welcome drink. A short guided tour of the historical site along with the ceremony followed later with a buffet style dinner. The menus are local specialities.

      1800 Arrival of the invited guests at the main entrance maidens sprinkle flowers, accompanied with the Togunggak music (traditional bamboo instrument), welcome drinks and entertainment at the MCV garden.

      1830 Wedding couple appears in the traditional Kadazan attire and join the party for more welcome drinks (rice wine in bamboo cups) and entertainment in the form of the Sumazau dance.

      1900 Official welcome to MCV and a short guided tour of its historical site will take place. the village will be alive with the traditional activities. The wedding couple will have to pound rice together and join in on other traditional activities.

      1930 Everyone will be led to the main hall where a bobohizan (Kadazan high priestess) will give blessing to the couple and all their guests.

      2000 Bride & groom will then be seated at a specific area specially prepared for them, accompanied by two couples of elderly folk compromising of the village headman and the priestess, here then, bride & groom will exchange vows and feed each other rice-balls ( miohon pinisi ) while the bobohizan will sanctify their union. After the miohon pinisi ceremony the guests will be invited to have dinner together.

      2030 Cultural Show Begins

      2130 The newly weds will be invited to join the dancers to perform the Sumazau dance and later the guests will also have the opportunity to join in the general merry making.

      The evening will end at 2300.

    • The Monsopiad Cultural Village troupe and musician are available for hire. We can perform at your own chosen venue, e.g. in a hotel or at your house. We will be able to provide a flexible and interactive program for your guests to suit your needs. We can arrange for traditional welcoming, cultural show with guest participation.
